I am exceedingly honored to lead the South Sudan Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry (SSCCAI) and to be a part of the group that will usher in the awaited freedom in 2011 by the people of South Sudan.
In 2006, the Chamber has championed a number of causes on behalf of members and the business community with regard to South Sudan Business Community, building capacity of the local entrepreneurs, Guidelines and Master Plan for resource mobilization for training, encouraging self employment, advocating and lobbying for labor legislation and policies, promotion of services sector development, and providing inputs for the Referendum campaign, support for political parties dialogues and the arrangement for the upcoming independence celebration Plan, the 2011 Budget, and the New Economic Model for the post-conflict.
Recently we have undergone a structural review and transformation journey to analyze what we can do best to jump start and stimulate economic growth and how we can deliver more value to our members as well as other stakeholders within the business community.
Our clear vision is to stand to the ideal of "taking towns to the people and advocate for enable policies for commerce and industry" in South Sudan and our mission is "to provide good leadership to South Sudan business community and international investors".
I look forward to working together with members, the government of South Sudan and other sectors in the business community to further enhance our great contribution and commitment to the continued economic reform and reconstruction of South Sudan oriented results for growth and prosperity of our entire country.
To achieve all our set targets and pursue our mission, I am so fortunate to have the support and enthusiasm of fellow Board Members and our outstanding staff in our head office however in Juba and in the 10 states of South Sudan. It is therefore for me a privilege to chair this prestigious and prominent organization.
